Saskatchewan Cycling Association Help Wanted

April 26th, 2004 – The SCA is looking for a cycling program coordinator based out of Saskatoon. The job description, which follows, is all inclusive but can be adjusted for candidates depending on their skills and abilities. Closing date to receive resumes in the office is April 28, 2004.

Northern Program Coordinator: Job Description

Term: May 1, 2004 to August 31, 2004 Location: Based in Saskatoon Supervision: The Northern Programme Coordinator reports to the Executive Director. Primary Job Purpose: Provide administrative, promotional and technical support for SCA programs in the northern part (north of Davidson) of the province

Job Responsibilities: 1. Club Development/Rider Recruitment Act as a liaison between area cycling clubs and the SCA. Assist with club development by providing guidance in member recruitment, communication, delegation of responsibility, etc. Meet with area Club President regularly to maintain open communication Assist at club events as required 2. Cycling Events Assist SCA event organizers by providing information as required. Attend races in the northern half of the province, provide support at registration and complete results. Distribute race results to media Maintain control over the SCA race materials (computer, radios, clip boards, numbers, etc) 3. Saskatchewan Summer Games Support Provide assistance to Zones 4, 6 and 7 with Sask Games preparation Work with the Development Committee in the development of riders and coaches 4. Promotion Distribute SCA promotional materials. Compile and coordinate materials for SCA newsletters. Conduct bicycle safety demonstration to interested schools and community groups. Act as resource person for bicycle safety information. Assist in promotion of SCA and cycling as required 5. Administration Develop monthly plan of activities with Executive Director. Prepare bi-weekly progress reports for review by Executive Director and SCA. committees (format to be established with Executive Director). Attend SCA committee meetings 6. Other duties as required.
