April 26, 2004 – The town of Salmon Arm is proud to host its first BC Cup Road Event, and the second round of the 2004 Series.  With the sunny and hot weather drawing a record number of riders to the inaugural event of the '04 SISU Series, the Harris Roubaix Classic, the Salmon Arm Grand Prix promises to be an equally unique and challenging event, with a new format to the SISU BC Cup Series, a two-person Team Time Trial, an event not seen on the BC calender in years past!

Racers looking to take part in this event should take note: Two-up teams must register and ride in the same category, meaning Category 4 riders will team up with another Category 4 rider, Category 3 with Category 3 and Category 1/2 with Category 1/2.

The 40K out-and-back SISU BC Cup course features a rolling start and finish, with the rest being flat, and fast! The race will be held in the beautiful Salmon Valley, punctuated by Mount Ida to the East and Fly Hills to the West. This area was victim to the wildfire of 1999, and the burn areas still scar the hills.

The following day, get set for an equally epic road race (non-BC Cup), situated in the picturesque Salmon Valley, climbing up Fly Hills along Yankee Flats Road. A long climb up is rewarded by a fast downhill back onto Salmon Valley Road.
