September 15, 2009 (St. Catharines, ON) – The cycling community was sad to learn that the St. Catharines Cycling Club’s Annibale “Danny” D’Addio, 71 years old and the owner of Maple Leaf Collision Centre who was well-known in the community as a dedicated cyclist and marathon runner, passed away recently at Hamilton General Hospital according to the Niagara Falls Review.
D’Addio was riding in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Sept. 3 when he collided with another cyclist and succumbed to his injuries three days later. Police are asking any witnesses to the incident, which occurred on Front Street between Victoria and Gate streets around noon, to call 905-688-4111.
D’Addio’s family will receive friends at the Morse and Son Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 p. m. and from 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Scapular Church on Saturday at 10:30 a. m. Read more here.
