July 03, 2013 (Victoria, BC) – The Ryders Cycling Society of Canada (RCSC) is auctioning off a race-worn, signed Ryder Hesjedal jersey on eBay June 29 – July 6. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to support up and coming cyclists in Canada and to promote the sport of cycling throughout North America through the RCSC.
“It’s a great way to celebrate the start of the Tour de France and raise funds to support cycling in Canada,” said Cody Graham, Director of Media One Multimedia and the Ryders Cycling Society of Canada and longtime friend of Hesjedal. “Ryder is an inspiration to so many young cyclists and proceeds from this auction will help them in their athletic pursuits. For the fan who wins the auction, it’s a pretty neat piece of sports memorabilia as well.”
The signed jersey was worn by Hesjedal during Stage Five the 2012 Tour de France. Bidding for the jersey opened on Saturday, June 29, at 3:00PM PST and will close on Saturday, July 6, at 3:00PM PST.

After his historic Giro d’Italia win in May 2013, Ryder Hesjedal’s first-ever pink jersey—the Maglia Rosa from Stage 7, was auctioned off on e-Bay raising $10,300 supporting young Canadian cyclists through RCSC and CAN Fund.
Hesjedal is competing in the 2013 Tour de France June 29 – July 21.
Hesjedal will visit Victoria, B.C., for the Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria presented by GoodLife Fitness on September 22, 2013. The Tour de Victoria also supports RCSC by donating a portion of event registration fees to the Society.
