June 26, 2012 (Victoria, BC) – Pedal’s Erinne Willock was on site at the start-finish as sunny, cool weather greeted riders for Ryder Hesjedal’s second annual Tour de Victoria this past Sunday. Over 1,700 riders gathered to ride the 140km, 100km or 50km routes as everyone was also eager to celebrate Hesjedal’s historic feat of becoming the first Canadian to wear the leader’s Pink Jersey at the Giro d’Italia and win a Grand Tour as he captured the maglia rosa, one of cycling’s greatest prizes.
