July 8, 2005 – My big news to share is that I have finished my DVD,
http://www.ryanleech.com “Mastering the Art of Trials”. It has been with my distributor for two weeks, and duplication is almost complete.

The official release date is July 12, it will be most readily available through my website with a simple and easy ordering system, available to ship anywhere in the world.

Not sure that I can remember back too long ago, but just last week I was in Austria for Marzocchiís 2006 product launch. The venue was Saalbach, Hinterglemm where there was also a slopestyle comp which attracted the who’s who in freeriding; Gracia, Barecloth, Simmons, Schley, etc. Saw some pretty crazy lines being thrown down, although the final was postponed due to rain, so I had to miss it.

While in Austria, I did a number of photo shoots with various magazines, a couple demos in the village, and socialized and partied with the crew. But the real highlight for me was that I rode my first cable, about 20 feet long, and then up on to a car hood from the cable. Possibly one of the most difficult lines I have completed, even more difficult than the chain line in Manifesto. Iíve got a video clip that I’ll post soon.

So I just got back from England, I was there mostly for a holiday with my wife Caryn. Both my parents were born and raised in London, so I had a number of relatives to visit.

We were fortunate enough to meet up with Martyn Ashton for a photo shoot with MBUK magazine. We went to Porthcawl in Whales, close to where Martyn lives, and he showed us one of the top riding beaches in the area, loads of rock ledges and cliffs to session. Martyn is hyper talented and has a wonderful sense of humor. It would have been nice to have a few days to ride, but he’s got one of the busiest demo schedules Iíve ever heard of!

So I’m actually off again tomorrow morning for Toronto, I’ll be doing demos for the City of Toronto Festival, downtown on Yonge St. Looking forward to it, it’ll be nice to do some demos, it’s been, wow, at least two weeks since I performed, and that’s a long time for me!
