February 2, 2007 – Mark Boudreau took the leaders jersey after an impressive display of power over a hilly Stage 8 of the RWR/ Peak Winter Series. Series leader Warren MacDonald relinquished the leaders jersey to Marc after faltering slightly midway through the 26.07km Stage 8 course to finish 10th. On a course with steep biting climbs that sapped most riders energy, Mark maintained a consistent power output to take the stage win by over 3 minutes.

Behind Marc and slightly off pace, a huge battle took place for second with 5 riders finishing within 30 seconds of each other. Caught in this action was Stage 8’s woman’s winner Sue Schlatter, who once again finished 6th overall on the stage. At the end, Triathlete Jamie Stephenson came out in second with a time of 50:11.5 followed by Master C rider Rick Sudac(50:16.10). Stage 9 of the 17 stage RWR/Peak Winter Series will take place this coming weekend with heats in Vancouver, Ottawa , Canmore and Montreal. Riders will race there own bikes in waves of 5 to 8 on multilinked computrainers to determine the results of each the stage with full results appearing on www.Ridewithrendall.com

The 17-race indoor series is designed for fun and fitness with the overall GC based on points. The series is for all levels of ability so come for the racing or come for the training and social aspect of it. If you have never experienced multirider racing before, the first ride is free so come on out.
