RWR/Peak Winter Series — Stage 12

March 2, 2007 – Athletes from locations across the country took part in Stage 12 of the RWR/ Peak Winter Racing. While east and west battled each other hard, the real war was fought in Ottawa over the challenging 27.04km course. Frustrated but not down, Warren MacDonald(48:42.8) put in a solid ride to take second on the stage and vowed to come out fighting for stage 13 when the series hits another of the long course profiles. Third place went to Master C rider, Rick Sudac who finished strong to post a time of 50:18.6.

In the woman’s filed, Sue Schlatter continued her streak of top podium placings when she pulled away from the field on her way to a finish time of 53:23.6. Tenille Hoogland finished second with a time of 54:18.7. Vancouver’s Leah Goloien broke the eastern podium stronghold with a time of 57:24.5 that put her in third
