February 16, 2005 – Ridewithrendall.com in association with the Peak Centre Human Performance presented the 10th stage of the RWR Winter Racing series this past weekend in Ottawa. 27 riders raced in various heats on Multi linked computrainers on a roller coaster course characterized by sharp uphills and steep downhills. The fastest time of the day (38:12.4) was posted by Espoirs Laval rider rider William Goodfellow from Montreal after hard fought battle with Fraser Atkins from Fresh Air Experience. Both riders pushed each other to the end resulting in the fastest heat of the day. In the woman’s filed , Natasha Ellliot from Cycle Logik Racing ground her way over the climbs and posted some impressive wattage numbers on her way to winning the woman’s category with a time of 41:13.4. The next race will be held on February 20th with heats once again starting at 7am and running throughout the day. Sunday’s course will return to the Series Time trial course for the third time giving riders a window on their fitness and training program. The Series time trial course is repeated once a month throughout the series to help riders gauge there improvements and progressing fitness levels.
