December 15, 2005 – Stage 2 of the RWR/ Peak Winter Series has now been completed and the full results can be seen on www.ridewithrendall.com
Establishing an early beach mark of 39:11.0 , Patrick Seguin from Gatineau Quebec held the fastest time over a hilly course until he was eventually surpassed by Warren MacDonald and Sean Wakefield’s times of 38.43.9 and 38.24.9 respectively. These three times looked to be secure right up until the last heat when Stevens Cyclocross Pro rider Greg Reain stomped them all into the ground with a solid 37:19.8 performance.
In the woman’s field, Ride with Rendall team rider Cynthia Clarke posted a top 20 result with a time of 44:18.5 that put her in first place in the woman’s field. Patricia Konantz and José Lamirande completed the top three.
The next stage will be held this upcoming weekend at the Peak Centre for Human Performance in Ottawa (Tuesday at Peak Vancouver) and will be the first running of the Time Trial course profile that will be repeated once a month to help riders gauge their fitness.To book your start time or for more info call the Peak Centre in Ottawa at 613-737-Peak or 604-299-7959.
The 16 race indoor series designed for fun and fitness with racers going head to head in heats of 8 on multilinked Computrainers. The series is for all levels of ability so come for the racing or come for the training and social aspect of it. If you have never experienced mutirider racing before, the first ride is free so come on out.
