October 02, 2013 (Victoria, BC) – After an exciting and rewarding 2013 road racing season, the Russ Hay’s Accent Inns Cycling Team is planning for the 2014 racing season and is now accepting racing resumes for sponsored athlete consideration. The Victoria BC based team accomplished noted success in 2013 with achieving 180 Top Ten finishes, 95 podiums, and winning 80 races in the disciplines of Road & Track.
The highlight of the season was RH/AI rider, Curtis Dearden, capturing the Elite Men’s Canadian National Time Trial Championships in St. Georges, Quebec in June. Additional highlights include 2 Sprint Gold Medals at the Canadian National Track Championships from junior riders, Andrew Grant and Alex Amiri.
The women’s team was competitive throughout the season with 26 Top Ten Finishes, 6 Podiums, and 3 race victories including Nik Vogler capturing the overall GC title for the 2013 Tour de Bloom.
The team is planning to expand its racing program to include possible participation in the Tour de Beauce, in addition to attending some major events in the Western United States. A key goal for the team will include increased representation to the Canadian National Cycling Road/Track Championships and to support Curtis Dearden as he defends his Canadian National TT Title.
New for 2014, Cyclocross will be incorporated into the racing program with the goal of placing a RH/AI rider on the podium of the Canadian National Cyclocross Championships.
The team will comprise of a fully supported Elite Cat 1-2 Team and a partially supported Cat 3/Development program. Emphasis will be placed on U25 athletes for the Elite program and U19 athletes for the Development program. Athletes older than 25 years may be considered on a case by case basis.

The Russ Hays Racing Cycle Club Society (RHRCCS) is a registered not-for-profit society in Victoria, BC dedicated to providing support for the development of young Canadian competitive cyclists.
