March 8, 2006 – Rundle Mountain Cycling Club, based in Canmore, Alberta is seeking a Coach/Coordinator for the 2006 cycling season. This position will have a contract term from May15th — Sept 15th and is expected to be full time during the term. This position will focus on youth development programs with additional focus on senior racing programs/support and managing some recreational adult programs.
Salary range is $15,000 – $20,000
Responsibilities:
Implement new youth riding programs based on “Spockids”, “Sport for life”, and CCA coaching programs. Execute the new programs in person.
Organization of club events: Toonie nights, club hosted ABA races, etc.
Technical support at club events – ex. Club “tour”, selected races, etc.
Advise adult athletes on training, technique, etc.
Qualifications:
NCCP level II — or working to attain
Basic first aid
CCA technical level I in Road and MTB
Experience in coaching young athletes
Experience in a cycle racing environment (the more disciplines the better)
Cycle Mechanical experience an asset.
