October 14, 2007 – The Roc d’Azur MTB XC race has been the traditional season wind-up and the 2007 edition was no exception. One of the only three UCI Haute Classe (HC) events of the year, the popular race in southern France draws the world’s top racers hoping to score big points, especially in a pre-Olympic year.
Kiara Bisaro (Can) Opus was Canada’s only participant, finishing 12th in the women’s race, which was won by Switzerland’s Petra Henzi (Sui) Fischer-BMC. Jean-Christophe Peraud (Fra) Orbea took top honours in the men’s 59km race.
