March 10, 2012 (North Bay, Ontario) – It’s is now official. Robbie Bourdon has signed with a new bike brand lbs.bikes (pronounced pound bikes) started by Ryan Melnyck. The new company is located in North Bay, Ontario, a small amazing town, with a large outdoor area with tons of great terrain for testing bikes and equipment.
Robbie will be coming over from the Intense Bike squad and will be a great asset to lbs.bikes for the real world torture testing that he will serve up daily on the bikes and parts.
“We are super pumped to be working with Robbie for this season. He has a amazing attitude and wants to prove himself to us and his new sponsors. Robbie is only one of two riders to be in every Red Bull Rampage since the beginning, a true credit to his ability to progress with the sport but at the same time still keeping his ability to send it bigger than anyone in biking,” said Melnyck.
“We are very excited with his plans for the season and look forward to working with him to develop the strongest, best-handling bikes that can rip in the Kootneys or blast at Blue Mountain,” added Melnyck.
