ASO will leave a blank after the 1996 winner in its annual Tour de France race guide to be published soon for the upcoming Tour which begins on July 7 in London. Riis is the first Tour winner ever to admit that he doped.

As for 2006 Tour winner Floyd Landis, ASO is waiting for the American Anti- Doping Agency’s ruling. But the case may go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport so the 2007 TdF guide states, “At the time of the printing of the guide, the competent authorities have still not ruled on the Floyd Landis case, who tested positive on the evening of the 17th stage.
