May 8, 2006 – Rocky Mountain Business Objects Freeride legend, Wade Simmons has teamed up with Big Mountain Bike Adventures to offer this unique opportunity. Wade has always looked for the adventure and travel in his Mountain Bike pursuits. This August he will share this chance with anyone wishing to explore the Swiss Alps along with him.
For a little country, Switzerland is over the top when it comes unexplored singletrack. How does 37,000 miles sound? It’s also home to some of the most spectacular peaks on the planet with 48 of them over 4000 meters and the largest glaciers and deepest valleys and most beautiful scenery in all of Europe. To top it off, the goods are waiting to be explored via a network of transportation like nowhere else: lifts, trains, buses and roads with little towns, huts and hotels everywhere. The result is the worlds biggest untapped bike park .
August 13-21, Wade Simmons is inviting a small group of riders to join him in Switzerland on an exclusive DH trip called Alpenrock.
This trip of a lifetime is based in the buzzing college town of Brig, nestled in the heart of the Alps. Each day will be another unforgettable big bike assault: Zermatt, Italy, Aletch glacier (Europe’s biggest) and a ton more. The best part is that Simmons will be showing you how to rail the whole time. “What really fuels me is seeing people having fun on their bikes and showing them what they’re capable of,” says Wade. Come to Switzerland and ride some of the world’s best trails with the Shinobe of freeride mountain biking. How’s that for a once-and-a-lifetime invitation?
