January 20, 2007 – Last night at the Forest City Velodrome a hearty group of 14 riders hit the Boards to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis and our Velo-Kids programs. 800 laps and $1,000 was the goal, and both were achieved. 3 hours and a box of cookies later the riders celebrated the fact that over $1,460.00 was raised for the groups.
A big thank you to Piers & Kim Davidge for organizing the 2 annual event to support MS and the Velodrome in London,Ontario.
The charity ride was the kick-off to a big weekend of racing at Forest City…The CanAmQue Challenge will begin at 7pm tonight and continue at 1pm on Sunday. 15 riders from Quebec will be testing their legs, with a full field of women to contest the sprints and scratch races.
