Ride for Karen to Send Kids with Cancer to Camp – Sept. 9

April 03, 2012 (Vaughan, ON) – On Sunday, September 9th, join cyclists from across Ontario at the annual Ride for Karen and help raise money to send children with cancer to camp. This fully-supported, premiere cycling event features a century ride (160km) that starts in Vaughan and rolls through the countryside north of Toronto. There are also rides of 100km and 25km distances as well as the kid’s fun ride. The annual event began in 2002 as a tribute to Karen Tobias who passed away from breast cancer. In the past ten years, the event has raised over $1.5 million. Sponsored by Scotiabank, all proceeds are used to send kids with cancer to camp.
