October 17, 2007 – On October 20-21, the Arduum Challenge DH race takes place in Mission, B.C. near Red Mountain. The trail “Arduum” started out as two trails built “back in the day.” The builders hiked these trails, looking for a good DH training course when they realized that the combination of the two would give them everything they wanted (steep, technical, off-camber, rooty, and some flow). They connected the two and started reworking the trails. The finished product became Arduum. They rode it a few times, had some friends ride it and everyone agreed, it couldn’t be kept secret, they had to share this one. So they decided to host a race… and the Arduum Challenge was born.

Saturday, October 20

Registration – 10:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Shuttles – 10:30 a.m. — 3:30 p.m. (There will be closed shuttles for volunteers ONLY after these times. No exceptions.)
Concession – 10:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 21

Registration – 8:00 a.m. — 9:30 a.m.
Shuttles – 8:00 a.m. — 10:00 a.m. (There will be closed shuttles for volunteers ONLY after these times. No exceptions.)
Concession 10:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Racing starts at 11:00 a.m.

To keep the schedule we would really recommend registering as early as possible.

Prizes

There will be $100.00 cash prize for the fastest man and the fastest woman.

We do apologize to the younger rippers. We know you really want to race this course but due to the short timeline and insurance costs we couldn’t make it happen for you. Next year we will do what we can to make it happen. In the meantime, come out, watch, volunteer, and cheer. You can still take part in the event.

To register for the 2007 Arduum Challenge, you need to complete the appropriate documentation and have it ready for processing when you arrive. You can download the forms from the web site, www.ardruumchallenge.com print them out, fill them out, and bring them with you the day of the race.

You can also pick up forms at the Experience Cycling store in Maple Ridge www.experiencecycling.ca

Important! If you were given young looks and the bouncers at the bars remind you of that then you will need ID here too. If you are 17 then we will need a parent to come and sign the waiver as well. If you do not have a parent with you or photo ID and a medical card then we can’t let you race. If you are under 17, you’ll have to wait until next year.

Cost: $35.00 for the race $25.00 for FVMBA members(there will be membership available onsite)
