September 19, 2010 (Toronto, ON) – Under clear, sunny skies, reigning women’s national road champ, Joelle Numainville (Webcor Builders) won the women’s 60km race at the Queen’s Park Grand Prix on Sunday. A crash at the finish resulted in Merrill Collins (La Bicicletta Elite Team), who was first across the line, being relegated. In the men’s 81km race Jeffery Schiller (Garneau-Club Chaussures-Ogilvy) claimed “the biggest win of his career” with Kevin Lacombe (SpiderTech p/b Planet Energy) in second and Ryder Hesjedal (Garmin-Transitions) in third.
