Queen’s Park Grand Prix Seeks Official Photographer and Timer

June 16, 2010 (Toronto, ON) – The Queen’s Park Grand Prix to be held September 19, 2010, considered the crown jewel of cycling in Ontario, will feature three distinct races on the roads circling Queen’s Park in Toronto. The first race will be a 45-minute Master’s Open Race for amateur men, followed by a 60km Women’s Elite Race and an 85km Men’s Pro Am Race, the premier race attracting world class cyclists by invitation only.

In order to support the success of this event, the organizer Flyers Racing Company is seeking proposals for photo coverage of the event. Requirements include but are not limited to:

– Ability to cover multiple locations simultaneously
– Produce photos for use in print and web

Benefits
– Official recognition in event materials
– License to sell the photos (although the producing company will have the unlimited right to use all images from the event)

Response requirements

1) Letter introducing your company
2) Print and digital samples of related photography
3) Demonstrate ability to manage sale of photographs to end-users
4) Demonstrate how photographers will ensure that all races and related areas are adequately covered
5) Cost for services
6) General liability insurance certificate

Official Timer of the Queen’s Park Grand Prix

In order to support the success of this event, the Organizer Flyers Racing Company is seeking proposals for timing of the event. Requirements include but are not limited to:

– Produce final results
– Timing and ranking for all participants
– Time laps and provide statistics for use during and after the event
– High speed photo and video Assist in the design of the official timing and commissar booth

Benefits
– Official recognition in event materials

Response requirements
1) Letter introducing your company
2) Examples of previous related work, including how timing will meet OCA/UCI timing requirements
3) Proposal for timing the three events
4) Cost for services
5) General liability insurance certificate
