October 19, 2018 (Sherbrooke, QC) – The first UCI C2 Cyclocross event in the province of Quebec kicks off October 20-21 at Jacques Cartier Park in Sherbrooke, the same venue as the 2016 and 2017 Canadian cyclocross nationals.
CX Sherbrooke was named best cyclocross event of 2017 by Cycling Canada and the UCI cyclocross event will feature a technical course along with a unique, belgian-style party atmosphere. Staged by the Sherbrooke Cycling Club and Cycling Canada, in collaboration with the Federation des sports cyclists (FQSC), the course offers a great mix of everything cyclocross is about: deep ruts, steep run-ups, off-cambers, stairs, hills and descents plus many high-speed sections.
The event is partnered by local Siboire microbrewery, which is preparing a new version of its unique belgian IPA. La déraillée will be brewed by none other than cyclocross legend Tim Johnson!
Enjoy pure racing on a world class course and a party atmosphere that makes Sherbrooke cyclocross so unique. Everyone is welcome at the Siboire on Saturday night for a great night of talking bikes surrounded by tasteful food and beer.
