October 23, 2009 – Pumpkin Cross presented by Local Ride Bike Shop is just around the corner, and this year’s Halloween themed, Cyclocross festival promises something for everyone. The October 25th, BC Cup race will again be held in Maple Ridge, BC, and with strong support from the cycling community, it will be the best yet.

Cycles Lambert has stepped up big time to provide top shelf prizing from Maxxis, Lezyne and Gore Ride-On. There will be espressos from Saeco, hydration from Elete, Kickinghorse Coffee, and tunes being pumped out from DJ White. Rain is also in the forcast, which means after those nice, sunny, earlier BC Cup Cyclocross races, Sunday promises to showcase the real side of Cross. “Save those sunny days for Superweek. This is Cyclocross, and the rain and mud will add that extra punch to an already amazing new course'” comments race organizer Barry Lyster.

This year’s event will again include a costume contest, kids race, draw prizes with an additional $25 cash bonus for those who win their category in costume.
