June 16, 2009 – It was another great weekend of racing at the 3rd round of the Ontario Cup. The weather was perfect, the spectators where making noise and Trek bikes swept the podium. Primary – Trek rider Rob Fraser took the top spot in the Pro mens DH riding his SRAM equipped Trek Session 88. Rob’s teammate Dean Tennant finished in 2nd only .25 sec off. In 3rd place also riding a Session 88 was the Trek Stores Zach Tatem.

I’m not sure if it’s how light the bike is, or it’s great geometry but the Session 88 DH seems to be an almost unfair advantage. Or maybe it’s the Rock Shox Boxxer and Vivid, I’m just not sure.

Primary – Trek has taken the top spot in every Ontario Cup this year, and Rob Fraser leads the overall series. Rob is also leading the standings in the Hardtail class after winning it again this weekend. He also finished 3rd in Saturdays Super D on board his Trek Fuel EX8.

At the end of practice on Saturday I headed up with the guys to film a bit of riding. Multimedia whiz Matt Berenz came along to film a behind the scenes video “Primary – Trek Mixtapes” at the same time.
We had a blast putting together a couple of little films. Be sure to check out Matts video it’s quite impressive.
