May 12, 2008 – Plastiglas Ontario Cup #2 took place yesterday in Albion Hills Conservation Area. The elite races were dominated by riders who were fresh off the plane from racing World Cups in Europe. Derek Zandstra (3 Rox Racing) won the 50km elite men’s race, beating out second place, teammate Adam Morka (3 Rox Racing), by only 4 seconds. Mike Garrigan (Jet Power/Epic Ride) placed third. Emily Batty (Trek Bicycle Store) continued her strong season, winning the 40km elite women’s race by more than three minutes over second place, Amanda Sin (3 Rox Racing). Catherine Vipond (Norco−Evolution Team) finished third.
