October 3, 2006 — According to Radio Canada Sports, a new women’s tour is on the UCI calendar from June 10-14, 2007. It is believed the event will include six stages, possibly including one on Confederation Bridge.

Event organizer, Daniel Manibal told Radio Canada that more details would be revealed at a press conference later this week in PEI.

Reached by Pedal Magazine today Manibal stated that he not provide any more details about the race until the press conference with ministers from the federal government and from PEI.
