The store is the first of its kind in Hamilton and it joins five other new locations opening across the country this month, making Pedego the fastest growing electric bike brand in the country.

Glen Doe is the owner of Pedego Hamilton and an early adopter of electric bicycles who has ridden an e-bike for six years and tested many brands, before deciding to open a Pedego store. “I want to provide electric bikes to people who want to keep biking but find traditional biking a little too onerous or difficult due to their location, age, job or the environment,” Glen says. “Since you can’t arrive for meetings dripping with sweat, or always have a shower at work, electric bikes are a great help for commuters and recreational riders who want to ride no matter what the occasion.”

Pedego Prince Edward County is the latest in a long-line of adventurous undertakings by owners Patrick and Gillian Maloney.

The couple have ridden a tandem bike around New Zealand, worked at Apple Computer in Australia and farmed alpacas in Niagara before they found themselves in eastern Ontario.
