by pedalmag.com

July 08, 2017 (Toronto, ON) – We’re excited to announce that over 400 teams are entered this year and present the standings for Pedal’s annual TdF Contest following Stage 8. The Grand Prize this year is a Garneau Gennix D1 Sport Bike valued at $2,599 with lots of other great prizes totalling over $6,000.

There has been lots of action including controversy at the Tour most notably the disqualification of Peter Sagan (Svk) Bora-Hansgroh over the incident that involved Mark Cavendish (Gbr) Dimension Data and Team crashing and having to abandon the Tour due to his injuries. Christopher Froome (Gbr) Team Sky, the defending champ, is in yellow as the first rest day approaches with lots of racing left.

After eight stages our annual TdF Contest is very close with four teams tied for the lead with Bling, BRINLEY GO GO GO, fiets a peel and Cranx all with 449 points. Just behind are dwyertdf and margosmark both with 443 points followed closely by lots of chasers.
