July 30, 2015 – Pedal Magazine is pleased to present a video series of Canadian City Cycling Reports, starting with Calgary, to inform readers about the development of cycling infrastructure and initiatives in major centres across the country, with the aim to inspire more people to make cycling a part of their daily lifestyle.
We introduced our annual city cycling reports in the print edition of Pedal several years ago beginning with larger cities such as Toronto, Montreal etc. and also included smaller centres such as Ottawa, Quebec City etc. We decided to launch the video series to add another dimension and expand the concept to a wider audience.
Special thanks to Peter and Steffan Kraiker for they’re fabulous collaboration on the city of Calgary video. We’d also like to thank Tom Thivener, Calgary’s Active Transportation Projects Coordinator, for his invaluable assistance, Ken Hurd for his stellar photography and guidance, along with all of the other photo contributors.
Please look for our next installment on Toronto followed by Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Halifax. For more information on Calgary click here.
