December 24, 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Welcome to Pedal Magazine‘s Annual Cycling Awards honouring Canada’s top riders in ALL categories from this past season. These awards recognize juniors, seniors, U23 and paracyclists from all disciplines including road, MTB, DH, cyclocross, track and BMX.
The wealth of talent across the country continues to grow and here’s your opportunity to recognize them and celebrate the many stand-out performances from this past season. Over the holidays there’s time to reflect and make your selections in all or some categories.
Every province has riders contributing to the many outstanding cycling moments/performances from 2018 including Michael Woods’ gutsy bronze in the men’s road race at the Road Worlds plus his Vuelta stage win, Emily Batty’s bronze in the Elite Women’s race at the MTB Worlds plus 3rd overall ranking, Para-cyclist Shelley Gautier’s perfect WCup season including Worlds, James Piccoli’s Tour de Beauce victory, Simone Boilard’s bronze in the Junior Women’s road race at Worlds, Maghalie Rochette’s Pan Am CX gold and Elite Women’s CX title, Hugo Barrette’s double gold at Pan Ams and Keirin silver at the Milton Track WCup, Elliot Jamieson’s Junior Men’s bronze at DH Worlds, Team Canada’s Road Worlds overall ranking of 4th, the Men’s Team Pursuit squad setting a new national record twice… enough said.
