July 23, 2009 (Hidalgo, Mexico) – Canada’s Tara Whitten placed second behind winner Giuseppina Grassi from Mexico in the women’s 19.9km ITT at the 2009 Pan American Road and Track Championships on from July 23-24 in Hidalgo, Mexico. The Pan Ams were originally scheduled for May in Chihuahua, Mexico but were postponed and re-scheduled due to the outbreak of swine flu – read more here.
