November 1, 2006 (Camburiu, Brazil) –Team Canada only consisted of three riders at the Pan American MTB Championships in Balneário Camboriu, Brazil, Oct. 13-15. but the team back with one gold and two silver medals.

Gold was claimed by Max Plaxton (BC) in the U23 men’s cross-country race, while Catharine Pendrel (BC) and Mathieu Toulouse (QC) each won silver medals in the elite women’s and elite men’s categories respectively.
