May 7, 2008 (Montevideo, Uruguay) – Canada has scored its third gold medal winning the Madison at the 2008 Pan Am Track Championships as the team of Svein Tuft and Zach Bell executed a perfect race for win against a small field of seven teams. Chile finished second and Colombia was third as the US team unfortunately crashed out early in the competition.

Tuft and Bell were marked as they completed the 160-lap with confidence gaining a lap with Chile along the way as they powered in for win and Canada’s third Pan Am gold medal of these championships.
