Pan Am Junior Track Championships Day 1 Full Results – Canada Wins Gold and Silver

July 08, 2013 (Aguascalientes, Mexico) – Canada is off to a great start on Day 1 at the Pan Am Junior Track Championships in Mexico, July 7-14, winning gold courtesy of Marc-Antoine Noel in the Men’s Scratch Race, followed by Eric Johnstone’s silver in the Men’s Individual Pursuit.

Ariane Bonhomme also had a fine day qualifying 3rd in the Women’s Individual Pursuit ending up 4th overall in the face-off for the bronze. Sarah Mason put in a strong performance to claim 5th in the Women’s Scartch Race.

Canadian Team Manager Rob Good, of Forest City Velodrome fame, summed it up well saying, “Canada is on a roll…”
