Ontario University Challenge Track Challenge

February 21, 2007 – McMaster University Cycling and the Forest City Velodrome are organizing the first University Track Challenge on Friday, 23 March 2007 at the Ice Box in London, Ontario.

This full day event is designed to introduce track racing as a collegiate sporting event. The competition will feature categories and events for all experience levels.

For the inaugural University Challenge there will be three categories for participants with separate classifications for women and men: novice, intermediate, and advanced.

Novices to the track will participate in a half day skills intensive introduction to riding track before racing individually timed events in the afternoon.

Intermediate and advanced events will include individually timed and mass start races.

If you have always wanted to try racing on a track this is your opportunity to learn on a one of a kind facility.
