November 3, 2005 – Over 200 cyclists competed in the Ontario Provincial ITT Championships on September 24, 2005 in Welland, Ontario. The Board of Directors and Administration of the Ontario Cycling Association are pleased to announce the establishment of a 40 and over Masters’ Women age division.

The new age category will be applied to the 2005 race results. OCA congratulates these medal winners for their performance and standing in the 2005 ITT Provincial Championships:

Master 30-39 Women

3. Marie-Claude Paquette


Master 40+ Women

1. Janet Sillman
2. Kristina Mayberry
3. Laurie Vanderhaeghe

OCA Executive Director, Steve Merker, said, “OCA believes the addition of this age category will appropriately recognize Masters Women who competed in this year’s ITT championships. This fits perfectly with our mission to promote and develop cycling in Ontario for all levels of athletes and participants.”
