June 6, 2004 – The Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) is the provincial sport
organization governing the sport of Cycling. Members are competitive and
recreational cyclists between the ages of 5 and 80. The OCA is seeking a
candidate to provide administrative services for the summer of 2004.
Position Type:
7 weeks from beginning of July until end of August (35 hours per week)
Location:
1185 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto
Administrative & Member Services:
* Help with all daily operations of the office including the collection of
data, membership and program registration fees, and all client services such
as answering the phone, faxing and photocopying services,
* Provide a range of general administrative support, including; filing,
ordering, receipt preparation, meeting arrangements, and presentation
Preparation.
* Assist in program coordination and execution, including; registration, and
post-program follow-up and evaluation.
* Assist in tracking, processing, and fulfilling information inquiries and
in preparing for member contact
Data Coordination and Reporting:
* Assist in coordinating and maintaining member information, including
database entry, updating, and maintaining membership hard files.
* Compile status reports on projects and programs as required.
Other Responsibilities:
* Help with the design and publishing of the Association’s communication
materials, including the newsletters, and enewsletters.
* Assist with planning special events and meetings.
* Attending events on the OCA’s behalf.
Other Requirements:
* Proficient computer skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Proven administration experience and skills.
* Demonstrated interpersonal savvy through working effectively and
communicating with a variety of different audiences.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

This position is available through the Sport Alliance of Ontario and the
Ministry of Ontario’s Summer Experience Program. The pay will be $7.15 per
hour as per our agreement with the Program.
