September 19, 2002, (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) – Navigators' Oleg Grichkine scored his 2nd National Championship of the 2002 season with a victory in the Russia National Track Championships' Madison Event this week. Oleg, the winner of the Road Race this past June, added another Blue/White/Red jersey to his wardrobe with this victory in the event known as the Americaine (Madison), which is named after the original Madison Square Garden in New York City. Oleg also placed 3rd in both the Points Race and Scratch Race.

Oleg will be representing Russia, while Marty Nothstein will be representing the United States at the World Track Cycling Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark next week (September 25-29), as the Navigators Cycling Team embodies the spirit of detente in the new political era.
