February 22, 2013 (Toronto, ON) – Here is the latest news from the offices of the Ontario Cycling Association (OCA), including information about getting your licence online, an upcoming track commissaire course in March, and an NCCP Community Initiation Coaching Course in April. Read on for more details.
2013 Licences Available Online
The wait is finally over!!! 2013 Licences are now available online. Please visit the link below to setup your account and apply for your licence. Please note you must click on the link below as the membership registration link at the top of the webpage is being updated.
Just a reminder that if you are purchasing a UCI Licence or Citizen Permit, you do not need to purchase any other type of membership through the page. These licences include any club affiliate member fee to the OCA. You would still have to register with your actual club or team separately however and pay their membership cost.
A reminder that licence processing is generally a 2-3 week process from time of application to actually receiving the membership however we do try our hardest to have it in a shorter time frame. (Unfortunately we cannot predict mailing time)
Also note if you have registered for an event or club membership through the CCN system before, you have a profile and do not/cannot create a new profile with the same email address.

Community Coaching Starts Here!
Community Initiation is the context for coaches who will primarily work with novice, precompetitive cyclists at the community level. These athletes will likely be in the FUNdamentals to early Train to Train stages of LTAD. We expect these participants to be able to ride a bicycle, be interested in improving their skills, and open to trying a competitive experience.
This course is ideal for parents, ride leaders, new coaches and athletes that want to help out in the cycling community.
