Our old friend “Father Time” was celebrated and remembered by many of his long time friends and associates. His friend of fifty years, Jim Cleverdon, remembered Al as an artist, a collector of many things, and a colourful raconteur with an inexhaustible supply of stories and an amazing recall of names and events. His many friends from the Newmarket Eagles Cycling Club also spoke of love of cycling and his ability to talk at length on many subjects. He was one of a kind and will be missed.
