December 04, 2012 – (Toronto, ON) – The OCA is pleased to announce that the new series organizer of Canada’s largest MTB Cup Series is Sean Ruppel of Superfly Racing, Sean is excited to be taking sole proprietorship of the Ontario Cup series. Having run Ontario Cup races, high school races, the Tuesday night series at Albion as well as various smaller events under the Superfly umbrella, Sean is delighted to grab the reigns on the series for 2013.
Working in conjunction with Chico Racing on the entire Ontario Cup series over the past 11 years Sean ensures a seamless transition in a great upcoming season. Sean in extremely excited to have new venues on the raider and plans to increase merchandising with some fresh new ideas. “I’m really excited about the June Ontario Cup weekend, including a unique race Saturday and a rider banquet Saturday night”. Sean explains. Adding to the excitement is a new Provincial Championship venue and a myriad of new trail development plans. Adds Sean: “I’m concentrated on fun courses for intermediate riders, and more technical, exciting expert/elite options”.
Riders can expect the same friendly registration and safety staff, fun announcing and even Adam Ruppel sightings aka: Chico at most of the events throughout the year. Adds Sean: “the OCA’s commitment to Superfly Racing is in essence a commitment to Mountain biking, with renewed passion and vigour, along over 20 years in the industry I am excited to both grow the sport and provide a great experience for riders.”
