OBB Wheelers Midweek Series 15km Time Trial

release by the OBB Wheelers

April 23, 2010 (Nanaimo, BC) – Great turnout again. Good to see a few returning faces. Erin Hibbitts, who won the women’s event by almost 1.5minutes, finished 4th overall, beating many of the men. Dave Steen from Thetis Island made a welcome return and, at 68 finished 2nd overall. It was another cool night and had most of the riders looking forward to the warmer evenings to come. The youth 5km event was successful, with regular rider, Brodie Hay, beating Jackson James by just 35 seconds.

Thanks to Mike James for marshalling and to the kind souls who put all the equipment in my vehicle while I was talking about our new web site at www.bikeracing.com

Next Wednesday is the first of the Boxwood criteriums. Remember that all entrants must be Cycling BC members and hold at least a citizens’ race permit. There will be membership forms at the start.
