O-Cup DH for Aids Awareness and Climate Change

August 11, 2008 (Collingwood, Ontario) – The Minime Provincials Championships will take place at Blue Mountain Aug 16/17! Best 3 out of 4 races will determine series overall champion. The most vertical feet in Ontario will also play host to the “O-Cup DH Race for Aids Awareness and Climate Change”, Sirbikealot Racing will donate proceeds to two worthy causes:

1. The Steven Lewis Foundation, the world leader in aids awareness dedicates his foundation to help ease the pain of HIV/AIDS in Africa at the grassroots level.

Important News for Blue Mountain O-Cup DH #5

1. Effective for the 2008 season, riders aged 17 and under must either be accompanied by a Blue Mountain Guide, parent or have completed the rider assessment by a Guide to ride on their own. Appropriate downhill mountain biking skills and suitable equipment are required. This program provides a more structured introduction to the sport. Feedback from the end of 2006-07’s mountain bike season indicates success with this progression program.

2. Blue Mountain will have qualified coaches to assess riders 10am-12pm on Aug 16 and Aug 17th. If you do not receive the proper accreditation, you WILL NOT bee able to compete.

3. If you are age 17 or under you must have a parent with you to sign their waiver for the race weekend.

4. Full amour (full face helmet, leg, arm, chest) is required by all riders 17 and under whether racing or not. Rentals are available at low costs.

5. A legal guardian is actually someone appointed by Courts as responsible for racer .
