April 29, 2007 (Santa Barbara County, CA) – Wendy Simms (Can) Kona-LesGets has decided not to race today as she is fighting off a cold and wants to be ready for next weekend’s UCI Class 1 NMBS in Fontana, CA. The women will start with the full 22-kilometre lap and finish with a 3/4 lap, while the men will do two full laps.
There is a little bit of cloud in the sky at the moment, but it definitely looks like it’ll burn off by 2:30 p.m. PST when the men start, and 2:45 p.m. PST when the women go, which will make for blistering hot racing.
Geoff Kabush (Can) Maxxis, Mathieu Toulouse (Can) Maxxis, Kris Sneddon (Can) Kona-LesGets, Roddi Lega (Can) United Cycle and Matt Hadley (Can) Rocky Mountain-Haywood will represent Canada in the men’s event, while Canucks Mical Dyck (Can) Trek-Terrascape, Catharine Pendrel (Can) Norco, Trish Sinclair (Can) Scott USA-Kenda and Christy Love (Can) Scott-Ambleside will tear it up in the women’s field.
