April 28, 2007 (Santa Barbara County, CA) — Canada’s Max Plaxton (Rocky Mountain-Haywood) has just won the elite men’s MTB Short Track race at the Firestone Santa Ynez Classic, round #2 of the National Mountain Bike Series in Santa Barbara County, CA. Plaxton attacked late in the race and gained a 9-second lead which he held to end over a charging chase group of 8-10 riders.
