December 23, 2014 – Former Belgian pro CX racer Niels Albert has opened up a bike store in Tremelo, Belgium. The 28-year-old was forced to end his successful racing career due to heart problems, which he announced last May (read our coverage here). Albert won the elite UCI CX World Championships twice and also scored the overall World Cup series victory in 2010-11. His life is still immersed in cycling – as a manager of the Vastgoedservice-Golden Palace CX squad and now as the owner of a new bike shop in Belgium. Check out some great photos of Albert in his new store.
