May 12, 2014 (Pelham, ON) – The St. Catharines Cycling Club is proud to host the 2014 edition of the Niagara Classic Road Race this Sunday. One of the longest standing events on the Ontario calendar, the race covers a 12.4 km loop through rural Pelham, ON and ascends the infamous “Saylor’s hill” on Effingham St. each lap.
This year, we are back at Bissells Hideaway for the “new” start/finish which allowed for many exciting sprints last year, while the hill still tested everyone’s legs each lap. Pending registration, there is $5,000 in cash on the line with significant payouts for both Elite 1/2 Men and Women (equal to 10 deep). The final prize list will be posted at registration.
Registration is available online here and closes at midnight on Thursday.
Please check out the technical guide posted here for information about the course, parking, accommodations, etc.
