July 8, 2010 (Kingston, ON) – A mix of new single-track and the diverse trails already at the J&J Cycles trails is what you’ll be riding on Sunday July 18, 2010. “It’s a great course,” says designer and substance projects founder, Dan Marshall. “Long bridges, rocks, flowing berms and a couple of surprises are in store for racers.”
A short-track Saturday night race for early arrivals, free weekend camping (Saturday night through Monday morning) and a Sunday post-event BBQ (and event T-Shirt for those registered by Monday July 12) are included in your registration for this first ever Ontario Mountain Bike Marathon set to race in Kingston. Riders who only want to race on Saturday night’s short track pay $10.
“Eastern Ontario doesn’t offer as many mountain bike events as Western Ontario, and when J&J Cycle invited me out, I was happy to come and create one,” says Marshall.
Register now at www.substanceprojects.com and bring a non-perishable food item as part of your registration. All donations will go to St. Vincent De Paul’s soup kitchen. You’ll be feeding the local community while riding one of the best original trails on the 2010 biking circuit.
“Enter the race, love the course, and go home happy.”
