September 19, 2013 – Effective September 30 the German company Zwei plus zwei GmbH, the owner of the Croozer brand has terminated the Croozer distribution agreement that had been in place with the Thule Group in North America.  Zwei plus zwei GmbH will direct all North American distribution activities through their newly registered Canadian based sister company Croozer Inc. starting Oct. 1, 2013.

Zwei plus zwei, well known in Europe as the former exclusive European Chariot distributor for more than 15 years, is one of a hand full companies worldwide with specific experience in designing, manufacturing and distributing of bicycle trailers. Founded by Andreas Gehlen in 1993, as a mail-order retail shop that only sold bicycle trailers. Zwei plus zwei has since become a global supplier of bicycle trailers.

“We are dedicated to the category” said Andreas, “and we are committed to designing high quality bicycle trailers, which are easy to understand, ease to use. A quality product that we know can last, after all it stands the test of time in bicycle culture countries, countries such as Germany. We want to offer families trailers that are built to last no matter the season, no matter the weather”.

Offering trailers that have German engineered for extensive daily use and easy functionality, at an affordable price, has allowed Croozer to become the number 1 brand for bicycle trailers in Europe. “Through our original partnership with Chariot Carriers Inc. we had met and worked with a lot of people that are very knowledgeable and committed to the category in North America”, said Andreas. With a group of these people Zwei has made the decision to set up the Canadian based company. “We believe in our team and we believe in our products”, said Andreas, “and we want to provide best customer service for our North American customers.”

Croozer will be exhibiting at both the Expocycle Show in Montreal and the Interbike Show in Las Vegas, where they will launching the introduction of the only trailers produced that have the TOXPROOF seal of approval (ID0000032325) from TÜV Rheinland and will also introduce 3 new models; the Croozer kid plus, a multifunctional child carrier with an self adjusting suspension-dampening system, and the  a new multi functional hard based pet trailer and cargo trailer, both of which can convert to a stroller.
