Two-day session includes the following modules:
Let’s Ride! Community Cycling Initiation (*new name for the NCCP Level 1)
– July 6 2013; 9am-5pm
Ideal for parents, volunteers, teachers and others who work with youth or adults new to cycling, this one day, in-class workshop covers the basic principles of coaching including ethical decision making, planning and organizing a practice, cycling safety and risk management, and introducing disabled riders to the sport.
Let’s Ride! Basic Cycling Skills
– July 7 2013; 9am-5pm
This 8-hour workshop trains coaches on the instruction of basic cycling skills. Workshop material covers skill analysis, observation, and corrective feedback – all vital skills for coaches of both new and experienced cyclists looking to improve.
